Auricular Acupuncture is a quick and easy form of acupuncture that can be incorporated into a regular acupuncture treatment, or be used as a treatment on it’s own. It’s also great for anyone who has an issue with needles, but still wants to take advantage of the benefits of acupuncture. It is almost pain-free, having about the same sensation as a gentle pinch.
Ear acupuncture points may be stimulated for a longer period of time by using ear seeds (see image below) or ear tacks rather than needles. These seeds are held in place on the ear with a small piece of adhesive tape for 5-7 days, stimulating the acupoints to promote healing.
